Planting

While you may not think it, Fall (Autumn) is the best time to plant a tree! Fall provides an excellent opportunity for trees to take root as this milder and wetter part of the season can allow a tree to take root before the colder weather arrives. Ideally planting your tree anytime before November will yield a successful growth.

Pruning

Pruning your trees in the fall can be beneficial to help ensure their survival through these harsh Autumn winds, and even well into the Winter! Fall Pruning is optimal as the cooling temperatures have slowed the growth of your tree, making it so that any cutting or pruning without damaging the tree! Removing dead, diseased, or unsafe branches from your tree, you are greatly reducing the damage that the tree might sustain over the next few months, as well as reducing the chance of falling limbs or branches during inclement weather.

Fertilizer

While many trees go into a dormant state they still need proper nutrients as the roots grow throughout the year It is important to remember, just because you can't see it, doesn't mean the tree is not active throughout the year!

Mulch

Mulch is an excellent layer of protection that can help trees lock-in important moisture during these colder months. Mulching can help keep your trees looking happy, but most of all - healthy!
